The upcoming Bentley Torcal’s interior design has been teased ahead of its global debut on September 23. This marks Bentley’s first all-electric vehicle, with pre-production set to begin in November 2025 at the manufacturer’s Crewe facility in England.
Design and Interior Features
While the full interior will be unveiled on September 23, the teaser highlights Bentley’s commitment to tactile controls. The Torcal will feature physical buttons on the steering wheel and centre console, a hallmark of Bentley’s design philosophy. The teaser video also reveals a curved climate control panel on the centre console, which may be integrated with the infotainment system, similar to the Porsche Cayenne Electric.
Beneath the screen, a variety of physical controls for AC, volume, and a start/stop button are visible. These controls are finished in silver for added contrast and are textured for enhanced user experience. Another standout feature is the illuminated rotary dial surrounding the start/stop push-button, which operates the 'Curation Engine'. This system allows users to tailor the EV's character through four drive modes: Bentley, Comfort, Sport, and Refresh. Each mode not only adjusts driving dynamics but also transforms the cabin atmosphere by altering lighting, soundscape, and air quality.
Interior Details
Other details spotted in the teaser include winged seat headrests, light-coloured seat upholstery with embroidered Bentley logos, and a mix of fabric, carbon-fibre, and leather on the door pads with ambient lighting. The dashboard features carbon-fibre and wooden trim, while physical buttons for locking and unlocking the doors, circular speakers, and circular AC vents are also visible.
Technical Specifications
The Bentley Torcal EV is built on the Volkswagen Group’s PPE platform, which it shares with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. The vehicle will be equipped with an 113kWh battery pack, supporting up to 390kW DC fast-charging speeds. According to Bentley’s director of design, Robin Page, the Torcal is expected to offer a range of 300-350 miles (483-563km), which he described as the 'sweet spot' for customer demand.
The Torcal is expected to come with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup as standard. However, it remains to be seen whether it will match the Cayenne Electric Turbo’s total output of 1,156hp and 1,500Nm.
